A topical talk about inspections they are doing at the time. Also a summary of HMICS and its role/the state of policing, and recent inspections and publications.

Brian McInulty was appointed as Lead Inspector in October 2019 and has a strong background in policing, having joined Strathclyde Police in 1989. He has served in a variety of operational roles across Lanarkshire, Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire. As an instructor at The Scottish Police College, he delivered training to new recruits and to newly promoted Sergeants and Inspectors. In 2014, on promotion to Chief Superintendent he became Head of Criminal Justice Division for Police Scotland. In 2016 he was appointed as Divisional Commander for Greater Glasgow Division, the largest policing Division in the UK. Brian will give a topical talk about inspections HMICS are currently undertaking and give a summary of its role and the state of policing.
