We will be walking the next section of the Shale from Uphall Station on Saturday 28th September.
From Uphall station, the part we have not yet walked is about 4.7 miles as a linear walk and should take just under 2 hours. However, this would require 2 cars, to be taken to Winchburgh, one left there while the other driver and passenger return to Uphall Station for the start of the walk.
The alternative is to leave all cars at Uphall station and walk to Broxburn Sports centre and then double back to Uphall Station. This walk would be approx 2.7 miles each way, a total of 5.4 miles and take just over 2 hours. Lunch could be at Dobbies or Williamsons if we double back.
If we do the linear walk, I need to investigate eateries in Winchburgh.
